Go into the old team’s past in ‘Aqualad’

Last time on Titans, the old team was back together to take out a villain from their past. Somehow they had gotten out of prison, and it was up to them to put them away again. No one was excited to be together again, but they knew it was necessary. It was also clear this wasn’t going to be a permanent thing. One of the new Titans gets restless and makes a bold decision, one that may cost them dearly. Now we get to see into the old Titans past on ‘Aqualad’ and find out why the team broke up in the first place. I was able to watch a screener of this episode and here is what I thought of it.

You can read the premise for ‘Aqualad’ here:

Five years ago, Dick, Donna, Hank, Dawn and Garth aka Aqualad are living together in Titans Tower, thriving as a superhero team, and growing into a tight-knit family.  But their personal feelings start to bleed more and more into their work, and with the arrival of a new villain, the Titans begin to question their destiny as heroes.

We get to see the old Titans team in action in ‘Aqualad’. Watch as they face off against Dr. Light for the first time, and how they work together to take him down. You also get to see a romance start to bloom between Garth and Donna. It was nice to seem them work together, and how close they all were at one time. As this episode comes to a close a horrible tragedy occurs, one that ends up tearing this team apart.
