Being a dad is a tough job and comes with a huge responsibility. And it’s the same irrespective of whether you are a celebrity or not. Here are some dads from B-town who have showed us how it’s done while managing their career as well. They don’t shy away from expressing their love for their children and instilling the right values in them. People generally tend to look up to celebrities as role models. And, these celeb dads sure deserve the spot for handling their dad roles with ease and perfection in real life. So, all expectant dads, take a cue from our pick of seven Bollywood dads on how to be your little one’s friend, guide, and superhero.
1. Shahrukh Khan
Shahrukh Khan has a reputation for being a doting husband and a father. The King Khan also manages to find time to spend with his family despite his busy schedule. He has three children – Aryan, Suhaana, and the youngest, AbRam. He checks off all the items on the lists of being the perfect husband, from reading bedtime stories and cheering for his daughter’s performance to getting in shape for his son, Aryan. Since Shahrukh and Gauri had an interfaith marriage, he gave his kids the freedom to choose their religion. How cool is that? When it comes to showering love and praises on his kids, this man uses every chance he gets. In an interview, he said that he considered his kids his closest allies and best friends. With them he shares his deepest darkest secrets and the good and bad moments of life.
2. Akshay Kumar
The rough and tough hero of the big screen is an emotional dad in real life. He spoils his son Aarav with love and care. Akshay even has “Aarav” tattooed on his back. He also encourages his son to learn sports and teaches him martial arts. The Khiladi actor also tweeted how happy he is and at a loss of words on the birth of his daughter, Nitara.
3. Abhishek Bachchan
Abhishek believes in sharing equal responsibilities with his wife when it comes to parenting their daughter, Aradhya. He is keen on teaching her the basic principles of life while also fondling her with gifts.
4. Amitabh Bachchan
Calling him a superstar would definitely be an understatement. He is someone who showers infinite love to both his kids and grandkids. He never differentiated between his son and daughter, and doesn’t believe in the concept of daughters being paraya dhan.
5. Ajay Devgn
He is a hands-on dad who doesn’t want to miss out on any fun time with his kids, Nysa and Yug. Ajay happily steps out of the spotlight to watch animation movies with his little munchkins and to babysit them. In addition, he makes it a point to spend quality time with his daughter. He even changed his eating habits so that he can fit time in his schedule to read to her before going to bed. That’s some dad goals right there!
6. Saif Ali Khan
Saif is one dad who took the dad role very early on in life. Despite having a rocky marriage with Amrita Sigh, which ended in divorce, Saif has managed to create a good rapport with his kids, Ibrahim and Sara. Saif embraced fatherhood once again at the age of 46 with the birth of his son, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. He said that taking on the role of a father didn’t feel like an added responsibility at his age, rather he wanted to have one. He had been supportive and encouraged them to be their best. From attending school functions to parties, he has made sure to be there for them.
7. Riteish Deshmukh
Besides being the perfect husband to his wife Genelia, he is also a doting father to his sons, Riaan and Rahyl. He constantly finds time from his schedule to spend quality time with his family. The doting dad even baked a cake for his son, Rahyl’s, first birthday. What an adorable gesture.
